Draft for review. This page summarises how Privilege works today and will be replaced by the final text approved by counsel before launch. Last updated 1 November 2026.
What we collect
- Your application: your name, email, phone, venue or brand, handles and anything you tell us when you apply. The team uses it only to review the application and contact you about it.
- Account details: name, email, phone, and for creators your social handles and audience figures.
- What you do on Privilege: offers, applications, visits, posts you log, deals, payments, chats and ratings.
- Support chats with the Privilege team, including the photos and voice notes you send.
- Location, only if you use “Near me” in the iPhone app: your phone's position is sent to find offers nearby. It is used for that search and not saved to your profile.
- Security information: devices you sign in from and passkeys you add.
Instagram, if you connect it
- Connecting Instagram is optional. Privilege then reads your profile (username, account type and followers), your stories, reels and posts, and their numbers such as reach, views and interactions. It never reads your messages and never posts for you.
- While you owe posts for a visit or deal, your stories are saved with their numbers, because Instagram removes them after a day. Venues see the numbers only for the posts you pick for their visit or deal.
- You can disconnect in Studio at any time: Privilege stops reading your Instagram and deletes what you didn't pick. To have everything from Instagram deleted, remove Privilege in Instagram's settings and ask for your data to be deleted, or ask us.
How it is protected
- Passwords are stored as one-way hashes; passkeys and two-step verification protect sign-ins.
- Phone numbers, emails and handles in chat stay hidden until the two sides book together.
- Uploaded photos are re-encoded and stripped of location data, and only shared through short-lived links.
- When something breaks, an error report goes to our monitoring service without personal details: no names, emails, messages, cookies or form contents.
Who sees it
Venues and creators see each other's public profiles and the details needed for a collab. Our team can see what is needed to run the service, review posts and handle disputes; those views are logged.
Your choices
You can ask for your account to be deleted from Account and security in the portal. Payment records are kept as long as the law requires.
